About Working at Saint Andrew's

Saint Andrew United Methodist Day School, located just outside Annapolis, Maryland, enrolls students in preschool through eighth grade.  Ours is a school with a rich, engaging environment that challenges students at every turn. Our teachers are creative, collaborative, and dedicated to providing the kind of careful guidance and support that young people need to find success.

Founded in the Methodist tradition and affiliated with Saint Andrew’s United Methodist Church, we are a welcoming community that invites families of all religious traditions to join us in the important work of helping young people grow into responsible, caring young adults.  From its founding in 1986, Saint Andrew’s has positively impacted the spiritual lives of its students by embodying the Methodist credo: Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.

Our rich academic program promotes in students the development of productive work habits and the mastery of essential  academic content and skills. Interdisciplinary lessons are commonly employed throughout the curriculum. Teachers design lessons that encourage our students to think creatively and work collaboratively.

Since 2008, Saint Andrew’s has been recognized by the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education as a Maryland Green School.  Our school is committed to employing sustainable practices and emphasizing environmental education. Teachers take advantage of our 20 acre campus to plan hands-on lessons incorporating resources like our Heritage Garden, the chicken coop, and our goats, Ivy and Joe, to foster in our students a deep appreciation for the natural world and to encourage them to be responsible environmental stewards.
