Since 2008, Saint Andrew’s has been recognized three times by the Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education as a Maryland Green School.  Our school is committed to employing sustainable practices and emphasizing environmental education. Teachers take advantage of our 20 acre campus to plan hands-on lessons incorporating resources like the Rev. Dr. David Thayer Heritage Garden, the chicken coop, and our goats, Ivy, Ninja, Nova, and Rocco, to foster in our students a deep appreciation for the natural world and to encourage them to be responsible environmental stewards.
