The Board of Governors is responsible for selecting the next Head of School. The Board established a Search Committee, chaired by Pastor Emily Skorupinski P '33 '35, comprising current governors and parents that will engage in the search process and ultimately recommend a candidate to the Board.

My family is part of the school/church community. How can I get involved?

Faculty, staff, student families, church members, and others connected with our community received a questionnaire created by CS&A in September. These responses helped guide us in the creation of our position profile and will help shape our search process.

We will be selecting two groups of individuals in the coming months: 
 • A panel of school families to welcome finalists to our campus 
 • A transition team to help welcome our new Head of School in 2026 and support them in their first year

What is the role of Carney, Sandoe & Associates, the search firm?

In addition to using their vast networks to recruit a pool of exceptional candidates, CS&A consultants advise the Search Committee on format, logistics, procedure, and best practices throughout the search process. Our consultants are Jamie Estes (jamie.estes@carneysandoe.com)(mailto:jamie.estes@carneysandoe.com) and Burke Zalosh (burke.zalosh@carneysandoe.com)(mailto:burke.zalosh@carneysandoe.com).
In September, they gathered data from the online questionnaire and personal interviews to fully understand our culture and institutional needs. Then, working closely with the Search Committee, they translated the school’s mission, philosophy, and objectives into a leadership profile, which includes the personal characteristics and style that will help a new Head of School be successful given Saint Andrew's culture and values.

As candidates apply and move through the process, CS&A works alongside the Search Committee to interview and check references of all candidates. The consultants also facilitate the flow of feedback between the candidates and the Search Committee and support the Search Committee with communications throughout the search.

In the coming months, the consultants will continue to guide the Search Committee in preparing for semi-finalist and finalist interviews, presenting candidate dossiers, and offering counsel through the selection and transition period to ensure a smooth and successful appointment.

The Head of School search has concluded successfully. We are grateful to our community for their partnership throughout this thoughtful process.

As we prepare to celebrate Mr. Wagner's legacy and years of service, we also look ahead with gratitude and optimism. This moment represents both appreciation for the leadership that has shaped our school and excitement for the chapter to come.
