Silvia Miñarro Martínez

My name is Silvia Miñarro Martínez. I was born in Barcelona, ​​Spain and studied at the University of Barcelona. When I came to the United States, I started teaching at Anne Arundel Community College from 2000 to 2008. In September 2002, I accepted the Spanish teacher position for grades 2-8 at Saint Andrew’s Day School.

I love teaching my students grammar and the different cultures that exist in Spain and Latin America. I believe it is very important that my students learn the correct grammar in order to have a fluid conversation.

In previous years, I coached field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, and tennis.
