Denise Haney

I am an Elementary School Teaching Assistant at Saint Andrew’s. I’ve worked with Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade. I previously owned my own preschool day care program for 25 years.

During the year, I participated in several on-campus activities including the annual Lock-In, Variety Show, and Grandparent's Day. I even DJ at our Middle School dances!

I grew up in Glen Burnie, moving eventually to the Eastern Shore on Kent Island where I raised my two children. They are now full grown and have children of their own, making me a proud “Gigi”. I also have a second job running my trivia company, “Think N Drink Trivia”, where I host bar trivia nights for restaurants and DJ for other events. In addition, I’m also an officer for our local Kent Island Optimist Club, an organization that is geared towards helping and supporting children. I host our annual Lip Sync Contest in support of the Shop With A Cop Program, which we’ve built up to support 60+ children at Christmas time. I’m married and enjoy music and sports.

I love working with the kids and teaching through fun activities where they don’t even realize how much they are actually taking in and learning! I also thoroughly enjoy getting to know each individual student and discovering what inspires them.
