Kelly Donoway

Preschool 4s Lead Teacher

At Saint Andrew's since 1998

Teaching experience: 24 years

BA, Notre Dame of Maryland University

I started teaching at Saint Andrew’s in 1998. I began as a permanent sub, moved to teaching elementary school Religion, and then finally found my home in Pre-K. I have enjoyed teaching our youngest learners for the past 18 years. I strive to make every day in my classroom fun and inviting. I work to give my students a love for school and learning that they will carry with them as they move up to elementary school. In 2018, I received the Saint Andrew’s Teacher of the Year Award.

I grew up in the D.C. area, and spent my summers in Annapolis. I now live in Annapolis full time with my husband and three children, all of whom attended Saint Andrew’s. We love to be outside on the Severn River, going to enjoy live music, and travelling to New England to visit my daughter, and to watch my son play college lacrosse.

Teaching philosophy: I strive to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment with a structured schedule. Each child will be allowed to learn at his or her own pace, and will not be pressured to learn faster than he/she is able to.
