As the mother of three boys who were all very different learners, I quickly found that there is no one way to teach or learn. I had the unique experience of spending a year sailing down the East Coast to the Bahamas with my husband and children. This time afforded me the opportunity to homeschool the boys and embracing their learning differences.

During my 20+ years of teaching, I have taught both first and second grade, as well as K-5 PE, technology, and Art. I was a semi-finalist for Anne Arundel County Teacher of the year in 2017 and featured in What’s Up Magazine’s “Top Teachers” that same year.

Teaching Philosophy: Versatility and differentiation are the two core values that drive my professional life. I thrive in an environment where I can teach a variety of subjects and adapt my instruction to meet the individual needs of my students.
